The Fondazione per le Arti Contemporanee in Toscana (Foundation for Contemporary Arts in Tuscany) was established in 2015 to support the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci. It was founded by the City of Prato and the Associazione per l’Arte Contemporanea Centro Luigi Pecci.

It operates as a public foundation with the City of Prato as a participating member. Since it opened, the foundation has received support from the Region of Tuscany, which recognizes its role in promoting and documenting contemporary creativity throughout the region.
