About the artwork
Large panels of sponge rubber, shaped like mattresses, absorb sound, smell, moisture – and stories – while a metal grid holds them together. The colors and materials recall a well-known sponge brand, Favilla.
Jacks, normally used to lift heavy loads, here raise a light material in a paradoxical contrast. As Liliana Moro says, one of her great passions is “going to huge DIY warehouses, where you find all the objects we use,” and then turning them into tools for conceptual reflection.
