On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci presents two events that bring contemporary cinema and art into dialogue, exploring the languages of affection, intimacy and relationships.
On Thursday 12 February 2026, at 9:00 pm, the Pecci cinema hosts the screening of Pillion – Love Without Brakes by Harry Lighton. The film tells the story of the encounter between Colin and Ray, an intense and asymmetrical relationship shaped by desire, power and personal transformation. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director and the lead actor, joining remotely.
On Saturday 14 February 2026, at 11:00 am, the Centro Pecci School presents School ARTE: Perfect Lovers, a special masterclass dedicated to the languages of affection in the 1990s. In close dialogue with the exhibition VIVONO, currently on view at the Centro Pecci, the event offers a critical re-reading of the decade through artistic practices and the profound social and media transformations that shaped its cultural imagination.
Often perceived as a period of stagnation in terms of civil rights, the 1990s in fact deeply transformed the sphere of affectivity, defining tools, dynamics and languages that continue to influence personal and emotional relationships today.
Conceived as a single, interconnected journey, the two events invite audiences to reflect on what love means today and on the cultural and artistic roots that have shaped contemporary ideas of intimacy and relationships.
