New Year’s Day at Centro Pecci: museum open with €1 admission

    On Thursday, 1 January 2026, the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci will be open to the public with a symbolic admission fee of just €1.

    A special opportunity for local visitors and tourists alike to celebrate New Year’s Day by exploring some of the most experimental and forward-looking expressions of contemporary art, discovering the museum’s spaces and collections at a reduced price.

    The museum will be open from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm, offering access to the exhibition Eccentrica, featuring masterpieces from the Centro Pecci collection by internationally renowned artists such as Lucio Fontana, Anish Kapoor, Andy Warhol, Jannis Kounellis, Monica Bonvicini, Robert Morris, Chiara Fumai, Ilya Kabakov, Liliana Moro, Fabio Mauri, and many others.

    Visitors will also be able to see the current exhibitions: Vivono. Arte e affetti, HIV-AIDS in Italia. 1982–1996, Luigi Ghirri. Polaroid ’79–’83, Re-thinking Sculpture by Mauro Staccioli, Pauline Baynes, Roberto Innocenti, Irene Penazzi — In viaggio, and the exhibition project Vorrei che voi mi vedeste — Project Room.
