Founded in Florence in 2021, the FánHuā Chinese Film Festival explores China’s past and present through the language of cinema, balancing tradition and modernity.

Held annually in Florence, the FánHuā Chinese Film Festival was created to provide a broad and multifaceted view of Chinese cinema, bringing together acclaimed masters of the past and new emerging talents. The name FánHuā, literally “a variety of blossoming flowers”, captures the diversity and vitality of China’s film production across different genres and styles.

Centro Pecci collaborates with the festival by hosting screenings and special initiatives in anticipation of the Florence event, offering audiences the opportunity to discover the richness of Chinese culture and cinema.
