For over thirty years, the Cineteca di Bologna has been presenting Il Cinema Ritrovato, a one-of-a-kind festival and project dedicated to the restoration and rediscovery of forgotten masterpieces, auteur films, and rare works from international archives. This work of research and preservation offers audiences the chance to watch, often for the very first time on the big screen and in restored copies, films that have shaped the history of cinema.
Centro Pecci draws inspiration from this experience to develop a program strand that weaves together memory and contemporaneity, inviting audiences to see cinema as a living heritage, capable of regenerating itself and speaking to the present.
