9 humans from Gaza is a collection of nine stories from an impoverished land, too often told with commiseration or sensationalism. The protagonists are almost all in their twenties, but the ruins of three wars, poverty, unemployment, the Hamas regime and the Israeli siege have not managed to take away their smiles, their ambitions and their dreams of a better life. Through art, music, sport, entertainment and, above all, their ingenuity, they give us the image of a Strip full of energy and enthusiasm. The search for freedom and independence is the leitmotif of their lives, but fundamental for them is the urgency to communicate their message to the outside world. 9 humans from Gaza is a story of courage, splendor, hope and humanity, an alternative narrative to the clichés and commonplaces that often surround the human stories that come from the Gaza Strip.
Free admission to the screening. The director will be present in the theater.
