A father, mother, and young daughter are driving along a road at night when a dog gets under their wheels. This causes damage to the vehicle, forcing a temporary stop for repairs. A man at the scene tries to avoid being seen because he thinks the driver is a secret service agent who raped him in prison. He later manages to seize the driver and is ready to bury him alive when he suspects it was a case of mistaken identity. He will seek confirmation from others who, like him, albeit to varying degrees, have suffered the man's ferocity.
Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival 2025
"A dry, essential film, taut as a string, which outlines a clear parable on repression and horror. Of real, chilling power." (Aldo Spiniello)
The film is part of the series I Tulipani dell'Iran, in collaboration with the associations: Donne Libere Iraniane, Donna Vita Libertà Firenze, and Mabuse Cineclub.
