The director Alessio Poggioni presents the documentary
In the Ukrainian territory, a few kilometers from the front, time seems to have stopped. Fourteen people of different ages and professions share the pain of a war whose mark they will never be able to erase. There are those who have lost their children, those who have lost the ability to walk on their own legs; those who have seen their companions die, or have held many orphaned children in their arms. The voices of the survivors alternate, bringing to light different testimonies of the same suffering. In silence and waiting for a peace that can restore a happiness now broken, Svetlana, Caterina, Alla, Maria, Vitali, Marina, Nikola, Denis, Ruslan, Mazime, Natalia, Ludmila, Olga, Pavlo and Ludmilla tell their stories.
The screening is part of the event on Thursday, July 3rd: Centro Pecci Dispacci: Ukraine – Three and a Half Years of War in the Heart of Europe
