On Friday, February 27, from 7:00 pm to midnight, the Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci presents the second 2026 edition of Centro Pecci Night, its special late-night opening when all current exhibitions remain open to the public until midnight. The evening is enriched by What if I stepped inside it?, a program of talks, performances, and experimental music organized in collaboration with Kinkaleri, NUB Project Space, and OOH-sounds. This February Night is also in dialogue with the eleventh edition of the Black History Month Florence, conceived by the research center The Recovery Plan.

The evening on February 27 begins at 7:30 pm with Pan-African Cultural Legacies: Histories, Practices, and the Future of Congresses, connected to the program of the eleventh BHMF edition. The event presents the new issue of Africa e Mediterraneo, dedicated to the role of culture in Pan-African solidarity, along with a screening of Présence Africaine à Rome (Paulin Soumanou Vieyra, 1959), accompanied by a sound work by Justin Randolph Thompson.
Centro Pecci Night continues at 9:00 pm with Inside the Artwork, supported by Unicoop Firenze. This edition focuses on a new addition to the exhibition route of Eccentrica. The Centro Pecci Collections. Director Stefano Collicelli Cagol presents Do you realise there is a rainbow even if it's night!? (purple) (2017) by Petrit Halilaj: a large fabric sculpture shaped like a moth — a symbolic and autobiographical figure for the artist, who has often embodied it in his performances. The new work is suspended in the first room of the permanent collection, conceived by FormaFantasma with a display that references Prato’s textile tradition, in a space specifically designed to also host live arts.
The live program begins at 9:30 pm with the performance 14.610 by Claudia Catarzi, curated by Kinkaleri as part of Body To Be. An intimate piece featuring a solitary body crossing an inclined plane, suspended in balance, in a meditation on emptiness.
Centro Pecci Night concludes at 10:30 pm with the performance Aficionado by the duo composed of Hanne Lippard and Renato Grieco, curated by OOH-sounds and NUB Project Space, where the sonic qualities of Lippard’s linguistic practice meet the vocal timbre of Grieco’s viola da gamba.
