Organized in collaboration with Arcigay Prato-Pistoia L’Asterisco, the event is part of the VIVONO series and a preview of Pezzi Unici, the Centro Pecci’s queer film series, which will return in April with a new edition dedicated to cinema and LGBTQIA+ imaginaries.
Blowing Bubbles
In 1991, Blowing Bubbles was founded in Bologna: a short film festival focused on HIV/AIDS, promoted by Cassero and curated by Daniele Del Pozzo.
The competition was conceived as a way to give expression and visibility to the doubts, hope, grief, and solidarity experienced by people during the years of the AIDS crisis. At a time marked by stigma and silence, video became a political tool, a means of information, and a space for community.
Building on this experience, the evening offers a reflection on the role of images in contexts of emergency and on the genealogies of video activism.
Talk (8:00 PM)
