Primi mille giorni d'arte - First Thousand Days of Art is a project designed to support the wellbeing of expecting parents, new parents, and their young children through the creative and life-giving power of contemporary art. Art is an immediate and powerful language that can open up many possibilities for listening, communication, expression, play, and connection.
The activities are co-designed by a team of experts from different fields and led by educators who specialize in accessibility. Groups will take part in experiences that include movement, listening, connection, play, and creativity, exploring different ways of seeing and different artistic languages.
This project is part of the Arte e Benessere - Art and Wellbeing program promoted by the Centro Pecci Education Department. Primi mille giorni d'arte is made possible with the support of PwC Italy, corporate sponsor of Centro Pecci for the 2023–2025 period, and with the collaboration of EDA – Services.
Expecting Mothers
Art, creativity, relaxation, and wellbeing are at the heart of this program for women during pregnancy. The activities, carried out in direct contact with art, help participants develop sensitivity, spontaneity, and non-verbal communication. They encourage new ways to express thoughts, experiences, feelings, and doubts, and to share them with other women going through the same experience. The wellbeing experienced by the mother is also shared with the baby.

Families with children ages 0-3
This program invites families to explore art together, helping adults and young children build stronger bonds through shared experiences. Through activities that use movement, senses, and creativity, children learn to observe, listen, focus, and express their thoughts and feelings in new ways.
- Families with children ages 0–3: €3 per person, per session
- €15 for a pass for 1 adult and 1 child for 3 sessions
