Centro Pecci is actively committed to promoting cultural participation for everyone. By continuously identifying and removing cultural, physical, sensory, and cognitive barriers—and by developing accessibility programs—Centro Pecci supports active engagement from all communities.

Thanks to a broad accessibility project funded by the PNRR and developed in collaboration with local organizations and associations, the museum’s physical, sensory, and cognitive barriers have been mapped and reduced.

New tools and resources for planning your visit are available online on this page.
Inside the museum, maps, podcasts, videos, plain language captions, and sensory supports allow each visitor to explore the permanent collection independently, with multiple options for engaging with the content.

How to get here by public transport

From Prato Centrale Station
Take city bus line 1+ toward Centro Pecci and get off at the Centro Pecci stop.
From the bus stop, you can cross at the traffic light with an audible signal on Viale della Repubblica.

AT buses are equipped with low-floor platforms for wheelchair access and have audio announcements for stops.
For the most efficient service, we recommend checking routes and services via AT’s accessibility page.

From the Firenze Santa Maria Novella Station
Take Tramvia T2 from Alamanni-Stazione toward Peretola Airport and ride to the final stop.
From there, take the R1 suburban bus (Autolinee Toscane) to PRATO, and get off at the Questura stop.
From the stop, you can cross the roundabout at the pedestrian crosswalks, then continue across the traffic light with an audible signal on Viale della Repubblica.

All trams and platforms in Florence are accessible to passengers with mobility or visual impairments.
We recommend checking updated services via the AT website. For suburban routes, accessible stops and buses are available by reservation. All trips on the Florence–Prato route are accessible with advance booking. Reservations can be made via AT’s dedicated channels.

By car or private bus

From the A1 (Milan–Rome) motorway: At the junction for Florence, exit the A1 and merge onto the A11 (Firenze–Mare) toward Pisa. Exit at Prato Est.
From the A11 (Firenze–Mare) motorway: Take the Prato Est exit and follow signs for the Centro d'Arte Contemporanea along the Leonardo Da Vinci ring road toward Pistoia.

There are many free, unattended parking spots near Centro Pecci.
The most convenient accessible parking spaces are located near the museum, on the Art Hotel Museo side. From there, a curved walkway leads around the museum to the entrance.
