Archivio-biblioteca Lara-Vinca Masini

The collection of over 200,000 interdisciplinary materials gathered and preserved during her lifetime by Lara-Vinca Masini was transferred to Centro Pecci in the spring of 2021, after her passing, to be integrated and enhanced within the context of the museum collections and the archival and bibliographic complex of the CID/Visual Arts Information and Documentation Center.

Organized thematically, the archive-library maintains the order established by the scholar and includes:

  • Art exhibitions: Materials related to over 8,000 artists and more than 2,000 titles of group exhibitions and major shows.
  • Architecture and applied arts: Materials from over 700 architects, along with numerous additional titles, hundreds of materials and titles related to design, ceramics, graphics, photography, fashion, and contemporary jewelry.
  • Art movements: Hundreds of titles on Art Nouveau, Futurism, Programmed Art, Visual Poetry, and Concrete Poetry, among others.
  • Publications on art history, art criticism, art and politics: Hundreds of volumes documenting various aspects of art and culture.
  • Magazines on art, architecture, and design: Dozens of publications and approximately 1,200 issues of periodicals.
  • Exhibitions and publications by Lara-Vinca Masini: Documented in over 350 volumes, dozens of posters, and various accompanying documents.
  • Graphic works: Around 1,000 prints, over 300 posters, 180 small works and art objects, artist books, and object books.
  • Correspondence: Letters with artists, architects, and critics.
  • Photographs, slides, audiotapes, videos: Thousands of items documenting decades of artistic activity.
  • Publications on museums, biennials, art and architecture conferences: Including valuable minor and miscellaneous materials that document more than half a century of artistic activities in Italy and worldwide.
  • Publications on history, philosophy, poetry, literature, science fiction, and politics.
