Lorenza Longhi. Opere D’Arte Nella Villa Delizia is available now. Published by Mousse Publishing and edited by Michele Bertolino, the volume accompanies the exhibition Lorenza Longhi. Villa Delizia, Lorenza Longhi’s first solo exhibition in an Italian public institution, on view at Centro Pecci until 10 January 2027.
Through a new body of work created for the occasion, the artist explores the visual and material languages of consumer culture, fashion, interior design and advertising, revealing the desires, values and aspirations embedded in everyday objects and images.
Textiles, screen-printing, found materials and installations conceived for the museum’s spaces transform the exhibition into an environment where decoration and display become tools for critical reflection. Moving between seduction and irony, Longhi investigates how aesthetics shape social behaviour and collective imaginaries, questioning the boundaries between luxury and banality, authenticity and performance.
Richly illustrated, the volume documents the exhibition and offers an overview of the artist’s recent practice through texts by Michele Bertolino, Stefano Collicelli Cagol, Marta Franceschini, Alice Motard and Giorgio Motisi.
