The second cycle of SUPERTOSCANA has officially begun, the new residency programme for emerging artists and curators promoted by the Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci and supported by the Regione Toscana through the FSE+ 2021–2027 programme.
Since 15 June 2026, Centro Pecci has welcomed the second group of artists and curators under 36, selected from more than 385 applications, marking the beginning of the second phase of interdisciplinary training in Prato.
The programme is conceived as a platform bridging education and professional practice, combining residencies, mentoring, and direct exchange with professionals from the contemporary art field.
The training phase, organised by Centro Pecci and coordinated by Michele Bertolino, with Gabriella Kolandra as tutor, includes talks, workshops, and moments of dialogue designed to connect artistic practices, critical thinking, and professional skills.
The second cycle invites artists and curators to engage with Tuscany's human and productive geography, exploring the relationship between art, industry, and territory. Through dialogue with local craftsmanship and manufacturing traditions, the programme encourages new cultural narratives that connect artistic research with the contemporary context.
SUPERTOSCANA brings together a total of 20 participants across two seven-month cycles, developed in collaboration with a network of institutions throughout Tuscany. The programme will conclude with a group exhibition and the publication of a catalogue.
The artists and curators of the second cycle are:
Alessia Bressan, Lorenzo Bretagna, Enrico Camprini, Elena Di Battista, Johannes Equizi, Claudia Mangone, Marta Morandini, Aman Novara, Beatrice Spadea, Ilê Sartuzi.
The artists and curators of the first cycle are: Arianna Tremolanti, Marco-Augusto Basso, Carolina Cappelli, Li Cui, Gaia De Megni, Giulia Menegale, Beatrice Miniaci, Rebeca Pak, Peng Shuai Paolo, Colin St. Mary.
