Kris is a 29-year-old queer filmmaker who made a name for herself with a film that pays homage to Psycho — but from the perspective of the shower curtain.
She has now been tapped to direct the reboot of a long-running horror franchise, Camp Miasma; the original 1980s installment was a massive box-office hit, though the series subsequently struggled as it underwent repeated remakes.
