Present. Peripheries
Everything takes place over one day and one night in Kabukicho, the red light district of Tokyo, through the eyes of a distressed and resigned young Toru. It is Toru who runs, with a very indolent resignation, the squalid Atlas, one of the many ‘houses of love’, and it is also he who, despite himself, lends his support to the comings and goings, the intrigues, the failures of the characters: secret lovers, runaway girls, fake talent scouts, real porn actresses, melancholic escorts, unsuspecting boyfriends, the cleaners who are not who they say they are, customers who fall in love, aspiring artists who do not mind the short cuts.
