Lecture by Giovanna Uzzani.
The art historian and critic Giovanna Uzzani presents the human and artistic development of two of the most important 19th-century artists, Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Gauguin, who stand out in the collective imagination mostly for their legendary biographies, but also for their meteoric effect on late 19th-century European art, which deeply influenced the future direction of painting.
A course for anyone wanting to know more about 19th-century art and music, a simple, synthetic tool for improving your knowledge, for polishing up on the main events of the 19th century, for preparing a conceptual map for future in-depth study. Every week (Mon and Wed, from 21:00 to 23:00), recognized experts introduce the public to the protagonists and masterpieces of 19th-century art and music and uncover the roots of contemporary culture.
