Men at War starts up again: a series of meetings with some of the most significant personalities on the international scene who have investigated every facet of war and conflict. This first meeting will be attended by the journalist Włodek Goldkorn who, through his book Il Bambino nella Neve (The Child in the Snow, Feltrinelli), will address issues such as the past, memory and personal and collective responsibility in a discussion with the director of the Pecci Centre, Fabio Cavallucci. Włodek Goldkorn has long been a familiar voice of Italian culture, having interviewed famous artists, writers and Nobel Prize winners as well as having told many stories - never his own. That of a child born to parents who survived the horrors of World War II, who lived in a house abandoned by the fleeing Germans, still full of dishes and furniture equipped with swastikas, who grew into the void of a familiar memory, impossible to tell, impossible to forget and impossible to live.
A series of conferences, coordinated by the journalist Włodek Goldkorn, with some of the most important national and international figures for whom war and conflict are or have been fundamental experiences. The aim is to analyze the cultural, social, anthropological and geopolitical dynamics of our modern society in which war has multiple forms and methods.
