After the meager box office success of Pinocchio and Fantasia, created in previous years, the story of the big-eared elephant achieved instant and unexpected success. Critics, however, were not impressed, deeming it less innovative than previous feature films. Time has rewarded this animated gem, which focuses on the right to diversity and maternal love. With its linear and modern narrative style, Dumbo has become the symbol of moving, simple, and emotional cinema.
